Interior design is a process of shaping the experience of interior space, through the manipulation of spatial volume as well as surface treatment - Drawing upon aspects of environmental psychology, architecture, product design and furniture design in addition to traditional decoration. Interior design is a creative practice that analyzes information, establishes a conceptual direction and refines the chosen design direction to produce the final, workable scheme. Above all interior design is a very personal thing. Tasteful and contemporary may be considered old fashioned and ostentatious from one person to the next.
